Top 5 Reasons I'm Looking Forward to Autumn
4. Fall Clothing. Ahhhh, my favorite color palette! I love browns and oranges and tans and beiges. And comfy sweaters. And my Seven Brides for Seven Brothers leather jacket. And jeans. And my Gryffindor scarf (just kidding- I don’t own one of those, but that would be cool! And yes, I know my inner nerd is showing!) This year, I’d love to go to a cool fall location, with lots of red-orange leaves and maybe even pumpkins and take some cute family fall pics. Doesn’t that sound fun?
3. Halloween. A well-loved holiday by all the members in my family. This year will be extra fun with the kiddos. We are planning on taking them around the Village for some trick-or-treating and good, old fashioned family fun!
2. Caramel Apple Cider. Every fall, just to get in the spirit of the season, I have to cruise on over to Starbucks for the best drink ever. It is a little over-indulgent, and knock-your-teeth-out-of-your-head sweet, so I save this beverage for once a year. And while we’re on the subject, I enjoy many other autumn ingredients, including but not limited to, apple, pumpkin, cinnamon, and brown sugar. It’s so yum. (;
1. Autumnal Mix 2006. On my Itunes. It is amongst the greatest collection of easy listening songs ever compiled. It includes artists such as John Mayer, Simon & Garfunkel (the greatest musicians of all time), James Taylor, Donovan, Cat Stevens, Royden Vigilence, and The Beatles. It brings joy to my heart when I listen to it. However, this, much like the caramel apple cider, is a special treat to be reserved for the fall season. So when the temperature drops a good 15 degrees (at least-hopefully more!) I can once again enjoy these groovy tunes!

Excellent points! As far as temperature and clothing, us Californian's don't have many opportunities to throw on a comfy sweater and lightly bundle ourselves up for chilly nights.
Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays. I'm not much for hoarding candy, but dressing up and being creative with your costume is always buckets of fun.
Caramel apple cider is a must for fall. Thanks for the reminder! I need to allocating funds for daily Starbuck's runs, 'cause I get addicted!
I think our music collections may differ a little, but if a little John Mayer finds it way onto my Touch, I think of Miss Gwen!
See...there really are people who like Fall better than the popular 'summer fun'. I too enjoy the best ever drink created by Starbucks: THE Caramel Apple Cider. That said, here is my recipe for an enjoyable Fall:
-MUST have 3 cups of 'life soundtracks' (as I call them) provided by Karen Carpenter and James Taylor (Gwen-I am SO glad that someone my age not only KNOWS him but LIKES him) :)
- Of course, as many gallons of carmel apple cider, of course!
- My Burberry Scarf
-$$ in my bank account to start and finish my Christmas shopping by the first week of December ( not including wrapping!)
-blankets and good coffee mugs
-plenty of wood for the fireplace to glow
-and most important- Family and friends to keep company with, share laughter with and to "Fall into Fall" with!
The nice part about my recipe is that everything can be found right here in Glendora!!! (except maybe the Burberry scarf, Glendora needs a Nordstroms)
